Day 01: ARRIVE GUWAHATI - MANAS (175 KMS)
Arrive at Guwahati airport, meet our representative and transfer to Manas National Park – the most stunning pristine wildlife habitat in India covering an area of 519 sq km and the first tiger reserve of Assam. On our way to Manas, spot a number of birds en-route. Overnight stay at Manas.
Day 02: MANAS
Early morning take a jeep ride into the forest and back to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast, we will take a Jeep safari through the Central range of the park to reach the place called Mathanguri, which is just few steps away from Indo – Bhutan boundary for birding. Mathanguri is one of the most beautiful points of the entire national park. The checklist of the birds found in Manas national park are as follows – Chestnut headed bee-eater, Asian Fairy Bluebird, Brown Shrike, Green Billed malkoha, Spider Hunter, Grey headed canary flycatcher, Russet Sparrow, grey Backed Shrike, Spider Hunter, Crimson Sunbird, Long tailed Minivet, Small Minivet, Small Niltava and European Pied Flycatcher etc.
During our afternoon birding trip to Manas, we will look for some more birds like Yellow-footed Green Pigeon, Red whiskered Bulbul, Black Crested Bulbul, Lesser Adjutant Stork, Racket Tailed Drongo, Spangled Drongo, Black Drongo, Crested Serpent Eagle, Oriental Honey Buzzard, Oriental Turtle Dove, Spotted Dove, Brown Shrike, Chestnut Tailed Starling, Golden Fronted Leafbird, Red Collared Dove, Brown capped pigmy woodpecker, Blue throated barbet, Lineated Barbet, Black winged Cuckoo shrike and Verditer Flycatcher etc.
Evening back to the lodge and stay overnight at Manas.
Day 3: MANAS - NAMERI NP (310 KM / 06 HRS)
After breakfast drive to Nameri National Park – the National Park & Tiger Reserves of Northeast India the park covers 200 Sq km of area. Tourists from all over the world come to this park to view the beauty of nature & the rarest treasures of this park and also to enjoy river rafting in the Jia – Bhoroli River flowing through the park. On reaching, check in the Eco – camp. Evening free for your own activities. Overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 04: NAMERI
Early morning, birding inside the jungle to spot the famous white winged wood dick. Back to the camp for breakfast then enjoy an exclusive river rafting in the Jia Bhoroli River. Afternoon again birding in the jungle. Overnight Stay at Eco Camp.
Day 05: NAMERI - EAGLENEST (135 KM)
Today we will proceed for Eagle Nest Wildlife Sanctuary of Arunachal Pradesh. On way, we will visit Tipi Orchid Centre at Tipi. Afternoon, birding around Lama Camp and stay overnight at Camp.
Day 06: EAGLENEST
After breakfast full day exploration to Eaglenest. Overnight Stay at Lama Camp. The Eagle’s Nest Wildlife Sanctuary is situated at an altitude between 500 to 3200 mts covering an area of 218 sq km. The sanctuary covers the area from Eagle’s nest pass to north of Khellong and from the entire slope from Lama Camp to Khellong is a prime birding area. We can enjoy a vehicle trail from Tenga to Kamengbari through Eagle’s nest pass and will have a good birding during the drive. The Eagle’s nest sanctuary is having a diverse variety of vegetation ranging from lowland evergreen forest to broad-leaved forest, bamboo and conifers; in both subtropical and temperate altitudes.
Day 07: EAGLENEST
After breakfast we will continue with our bird watching tour in Eagle’s nest for the second consecutive day. Eagle’s Nest is home to more than of 450 birds species. The commonly birds species find here in Eagle’s Nest are the ward’s trogon, wedge-billed and rufous-throated wren-babblers, rufous-necked, great and wreathed hornbills, black-necked crane, beautiful nuthatch, emerald cuckoo are standard fare in this area. Other specialties which can be seen with some effort are three tragopans, blood pheasant, monal, ibisbill, purple cochoa, long-tailed and collared broadbills, blue-naped pitta, vivid niltava, long-billed plover and black-headed shrike-babbler Etc.
Overnight Stay at Lama Camp.
Day 08: EAGLENEST - KAZIRANGA
After breakfast we will drive to Kaziranga. During out journey, we will stop at several bird watching locations. Kaziranga National park – the UNESCO world heritage site and is a home of more than 80% of the world’s population of the Great One Horned Rhinoceros. Declared as a national park in 1974 and as a tiger reserve in 2006. The national park has a significant amount of Elephant, Tiger, Wild boar and 400 species of birds both resident and migratory. Upon arrival check into the wildlife resorts. Overnight stay at resort.
Day 09: KAZIRANGA
Early wildlife safari in the central range followed by a Jeep safari in the same range. The central range is good for the water birds such as Falcate Teal, White – eyed Pochard, Grey Headed Fishing Eagle, Crested Serpent Eagle and spot-billed pelican. In the afternoon, another jeep safari in the western range of the park. Overnight halt at Kaziranga.
Day 10: KAZIRANGA
Early morning birding at Panbari reserve then another Jeep safari in the Eastern range of Kaziranga national park. Overnight Stay at Kaziranga.
Day 11: KAZIRANGA - GUWAHATI (220 KM)
After breakfast drive to Guwahati. Upon arrival check into the hotel. In the afternoon visit Kamakhya Devi temple & enjoy sunset cruise on the mighty Brahmaputra. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 12: GUWAHATI - DEPARTURE
After breakfast transfer to Guwahati Airport for onward destination.
